"Desolate Flowers" Acrylic on watercolor on paper. 14 x 11

"Faith" Watercolor 6" x 5"
"Moon" Watercolor. 14" x 10"

This summer I am overseeing a downtown beautification project for the City of Bloomington. The art loft is in the middle of the project. I have decided instead of posting the picture of the daily painting immediately after finishing, I will post the next evening. This gives me the option of staying the night at the loft and waking up at the job site. The loft will double as a job trailer, of sorts.
Snapshot of artistic thought process after 100 days: Practice can fix most limitations. Sense much more is possible. Old habits are a blessing and a curse. More time needed on most paintings to truly finish them; however, the time constraint forces discipline which speeds up the learning process. blah blah blah. I have yet to paint a masterpiece and probably wouldn't know it if I did.

"Dilemma" Pencil and Acrylic. 12" x 10"

Problem to solve at work. Couldn't stop thinking about it; so I made a diagram to illustrate to co-workers what the problem is and what could be done about it. I do not usually like to combine job and hobby, but what can it hurt? Everything relates to everything anyway, right?

"Sleep Like an Egyptian"

Today was a tough day to get up there and paint. 6:30 am to 6:30 pm crazy work day. Then, dos margaritas and the women's b-ball final. Stanford gave the unbeatable UConn a run. Maya Moore is really great! All I could think was sleeeeeeeeep when I stood before the blank canvas.

"Etre en Fleur" Oil on canvas. 9" x 6"

First oil painting in nearly two decades. Used some tubes that were old back then. must not dry out like the 3 year old watercolors I threw out when this year long thing started.
"Abstract" Acrylic.

Slept at the loft last night. This is why the post is late. But the pic was completed April 2nd. I went thru 3 paintings before I "stamped" the paper with the palette and called it done.
